Hopeful
A short story by mim robson using words from a book called The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan
friend
I saw in my dream, you looked down, despair on every side.
so laden with a burden that was written within
in my dream I took your hand,
and held it a long time
It took courage to walk again through the darkness
In silence we stepped forward together towards your mountain
that dark mountain was steep and high and that did not stop you
after a while, you let go of my hand
you walked up through the regions of fear, difficulty, sickness, shame and sorrow,
And at last when you reached the top of the mountain
with a loud voice, and a light in your eye, you called down to me,
Do you see yonder shining light?
I looked up at you and did not answer
you said, I think I do.
What meaneth this?
HOPE.
