HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Anyone else's new year resolution to make a macrame lantern/plant holder? If so, you should come to the social on the 21st and live your dream!! As a change to the usual format, Fortyfive are keeping their kitchen open from 6:30-7:30pm so you don’t have to rush to eat before you leave the house! A few of us plan to meet before the session starts at 6:30pm and get toasties! Join us pre-session, or get one when you arrive at the session if you like! Other than that, the usual drinks and cakes etc will be on sale of course! More details on the January social in the second half of this description! Scroll on!

Come along on the third Monday of the month 7-9pm for an evening of have-a-go crafts, a brew and a chat.

Each month we will bring a new craft to learn for a fiver, but you are welcome to come along and bring your own art/craft projects instead, or have a dabble with some arty materials (we ask for a £3 donation for this if you can spare it, but come and get involved anyway if you can't).

All ages and abilities very welcome, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult unless pre-arranged. You don't have to be an experienced artist or crafter, just come along and get making!

For those who haven't been before, Fortyfive Vinyl Cafe is a lovely place on Micklegate near where it meets Rougier Street (would it help if I said it was near Popworld?!) and serves good coffee, cake, other hot drinks and alcohol... with vegan and gluten free options too.

This month the social is on Monday 21st January, 7-9pm.

The have a go craft this month is macrame lantern/plant holders! Apparently this is Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year... so lets light up the night (and our sad hearts) with our lanterns, crafting, cake and company. And that white hot chocolate Fortyfive does...

If you could bring a jar, that would be super! I'll bring a few in case!

If you don't fancy the macrame jar thing, there will be art materials available to do your own thing with, or otherwise you are welcome to join us with your own craft project! Non-crafters are most welcome to just join for the cuppa and company, although we will definitely try to tempt you into getting crafty at some point.

A fiver for the have a go craft, or if you are coming with your own project/ doing your own thing with the basic art materials provided/ just coming for the social, we ask for a £3 donation if you can spare it - but come along anyway if you can't.

Bring your friends, make new friends, but most of all Keep it Crafty!!!
